A tradition of success
Avon Tyres made their first
motorcycle tyre back in 1911 –
making 2011 our centenary year
for motorcycle
products – but Avon itself goes
back even further than that.
It was in 1885, when Messrs.
Brown and Margetson turned a
former cloth mill into a rubber
goods factory.
And as the century turned, they
spotted a new opportunity:
